On behalf of my client, I am actively recruiting for a CAD Technician, to work on ongoing projects across Belfast/Northern Ireland. My Client is a Construction Fit out company delivering an abundance of high end projects across Northern Ireland.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate would be responsible for the following tasks and duties:
· Work closely with our Design and Production teams to design bespoke free-standing furniture & fitted furniture.
· High proficiency in AutoCAD, Able to produce 2D/3D technical drawings for joinery manufacture.
· Prepare production information, BOM & cut lists based on drawings, ready for manufacture in the workshop.
· Work closely with the workshop team to provide design and manufacture information.
· Liaise with clients, architects and third parties directly.
· Passionate about joinery / furniture design and an in-depth technical knowledge of furniture, joinery and cabinetry construction.
· Precise, thorough and consistent attention to detail.
· 3+ years of experience working on high-end bespoke joinery and furniture design.
· Ability to understand client needs and turn them into practical solutions.
· Self-motivated with good time management, excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently and manage own workload.
· Clear and consistent communication on project progress and any issues.
· Practical workshop experience and/or strong working knowledge of the bespoke joinery sector – Desirable.
· Knowledge of metalwork – Desirable.
· Degree in Furniture or Product Design – Desirable.

Please note this role requires the candidate to be familiar with Northern Ireland, only candidates who have/are living and working in Northern Ireland will be considered.
