Monday- Friday 7.30-1600

Salary £30,000 - £35,000PA Negotiable DOE

You will be assisting the Technical manager, you will need to have a working knowledge of CAD and have the ability to read drawings. The right candidate will also have drive and ambition to succeed, as we are keen to employ a candidate with the aim to develop their knowledge and progress.

Duties (training given)

• Must have a strong knowledge of sheet metal process, ideally with experience of tooling and nesting for a turret punch
• Re-engineer existing designs to meet these requirements within budget.
• Produce detailed manufacturing and customer drawings and assembly drawings, bills of materials.
• Produce a design which meets the product requirements utilising Radan.
• Develop prototypes where necessary.
• Liaising with production and sales departments
• Working closely with the Technical manager and production support
• Update and archive department documents, files etc.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of Radan / AutoCAD
• Must be able to read technical drawings
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Use of Microsoft Office Software, particularly Word and Excel
• Ability to create clear and thorough reports, procedures and guidance documents.
• Experience of working as part of a team to achieve team and organisational objectives or to work independently
• Good organisational and planning skills sufficient to plan own time and workload to ensure that deadlines and timescales are met.
• High Degree of accuracy in work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
