The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Campus Events Manager.
Job Summary
The Campus Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of campus events and facility rentals. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the college’s visibility, student and community engagement, and revenue growth through effective event and rental management. The Manager ensures all activities align with institutional policies and brand standards while actively developing revenue-generating opportunities through external partnerships, commercial use of college venues, and high-impact events. This role directly supervises the Senior Audio-Visual Technician and part-time Auditorium and event staff, ensuring high standards of delivery for all campus events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facility Rentals & Revenue Generation
Market and manage rental of HLSCC facilities (e.g., auditorium, meeting rooms, grounds) to external clients, including corporate groups, non-profits, and event promoters.
Create pricing models, rental packages, and service add-ons aimed at maximizing earned income.
Actively pursue new business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients to position HLSCC as a premier venue for events in the BVI.
Develop and implement customer service and feedback processes to ensure a high-quality rental experience and repeat bookings.
Operational Oversight
Supervise and schedule the Senior Audio-Visual Technician and part-time Auditorium/event staff, ensuring adequate coverage and technical excellence at all events.
Maintain a central system for booking requests, contracts, billing, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements for all hosted events.
Policy & Risk Management
Develop and enforce event and rental policies in consultation with the Bursar.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper mitigation strategies are in place for each event.
Monitor adherence to college standards for branding, security, and facility usage.
Reporting & Evaluation
provide quarterly reports and performance metrics to the Bursar, including bookings, income, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Track and analyze the success of events and rental programs to inform continuous improvement and investment decisions.
Any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by the Bursar.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of experience coordinating or producing events.
Familiarity with production processes including lighting, sound, staging, and technical requirements.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Salary: $49,256.16 per annum
