C&I Commissioning Technician

Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting a C&I Commissioning Technicians to join the EPC Contractors commissioning team for their Waste to Energy facility based in Scotland on an initial 12 months contract basis.

The C&I Commissioning Technician positions come with a day rate from £400.00 to £450.00 outside of IR35.

Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:

Carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning of field instrumentation, including transmitters, switches, analysers, control valves and actuators.
Perform inspections, calibration verification, loop checks, functional testing and I/O verification across DCS, PLC and SCADA systems.
Complete commissioning documentation and check sheets, recording test results, calibration data, punch items and deficiencies in real time.
Conduct system walkdowns, mechanical completion inspections and punch-list close-out, updating P&IDs, loop diagrams and other drawings where required.
Coordinate with commissioning engineers, construction teams, vendors and subcontractors, reporting progress, issues and outstanding activities to senior personnel.
Maintain strict HSE and compliance standards, following RAMS, Permit to Work, isolation procedures, hazardous-area requirements and company/site procedures.
