Capability & Compliance Coordinator
4-Month Contract Portsmouth
We're supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in the search for a Capability & Compliance Coordinator to join them on an initial 4-month contract.
This role will play a key part in a time-critical programme focused on reviewing, validating and improving workforce competency, training and qualification records. Working across multiple internal systems, you'll help establish an accurate picture of workforce capability while ensuring records align with business, regulatory and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Review and validate employee training, competency and qualification records. Analyse information held across multiple internal systems to identify gaps, inconsistencies and missing evidence. Liaise with managers, employees and subject matter experts to gather and verify information. Engage with external training providers, accreditation bodies and standards organisations to validate qualifications and competency requirements. Support training needs analysis and identify areas requiring additional development or certification. Produce reports and summaries to support compliance and capability assessments. Ensure accurate record keeping and data integrity throughout the project. Support process improvements and recommendations to strengthen future capability management activities.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong administrative and analytical skills with a meticulous approach to data accuracy.
You'll ideally have:
Experience working in an administration, compliance, quality, training, competency, L&D, or project support role. Experience within a regulated environment. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work through large volumes of information accurately. Confidence using multiple databases, business systems and Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. A structured and methodical approach to problem solving.
Desirable Experience
Engineering, health care, manufacturing, defence, aerospace, maritime, rail, utilities or other highly regulated industries. Learning Management Systems (LMS), competency management or workforce planning systems. Training compliance, auditing or quality assurance activities.
