Capacity & Performance Manager - DV Cleared
12-Month Contract | South West | £600 to £700 per day (DOE) | Outside IR35
We are seeking an experienced Capacity & Performance Manager to join a high-profile programme in the South West. This is a 12-month contract, paying up to £700 per day, with hybrid working available.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience across capacity management, performance analysis, infrastructure planning and project management, ideally gained within large-scale, complex or secure environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead capacity and performance management across complex IT infrastructure and services. Develop demand, capacity and performance models, forecasts and long-term capacity plans. Analyse infrastructure performance and utilisation across physical, virtual and cloud environments. Produce dashboards, reports and management information to support technical and business decisions. Work closely with technical teams, service managers, suppliers and stakeholders to translate business demand into infrastructure requirements. Identify capacity risks, performance issues and potential service impacts, recommending appropriate mitigation. Support live operational issues, providing capacity and performance analysis during incidents and service outages. Manage demand, risk, incident, problem and change activities through established ITSM processes. Provide technical input into infrastructure projects, architecture and service design. Support continuous improvement of capacity and performance management processes, tools and reporting.
Essential Experience
Extensive experience in Capacity Management and Performance Analysis within enterprise IT environments. Strong experience of capacity planning, forecasting, demand modelling and infrastructure performance management. Experience across Windows, Linux/UNIX, virtualisation, databases, storage and enterprise infrastructure. Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting large and complex datasets. Experience with monitoring and performance tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, BMC, VMware, PerfMon, Patrol, TeamQuest or similar. Strong knowledge of SQL/Oracle and data analysis. Experience working with senior stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers and service providers. Strong understanding of ITIL, Incident, Problem, Change, Risk and Service Management. Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
Clearance & Location
Active UK DV clearance is essential. Hybrid working 12-month contract.
