Description

• Manage the financial reporting and reconciliation of capital projects and fixed assets.
• Prepare accurate and timely capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Provide detailed analysis and insights on capital spending and variances.
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in the implementation of process improvements for capital accounting functions.

Profile

A successful Capital Accountant should have:

• A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Experience gained in Estates, Housing Associations or Construction would be ideal.
• Strong experience in capital accounting or financial reporting.
• Proven knowledge of fixed asset management and capital expenditure processes.
• An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
