Job Description - Capital Markets Fundraising / Sales Professional London

At Octavius Finance, we specialise in connecting investment management firms with high-performing sales and capital raising professionals across, asset management, hedge funds, private equity, and alternative investments. We partner with leading investment firms to identify commercially driven individuals who can build investor relationships, drive fundraising activity, and accelerate business growth.

We are currently mandated by an investment advisory platform that works with leading investment managers across Europe and the US. Our client supports high-quality private markets funds in raising capital from sophisticated institutional investors globally.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to hire a fundraising professional to join their London team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious junior sales professional looking to develop long-term relationships with family offices, institutional investors, and private market allocators across Europe and North America, and would serve as an excellent spring-board for candidates with ambitions to develop a career in investor relations.

The Opportunity

This role offers direct exposure to fundraising, institutional investor coverage, and international business development within the alternative investments market.

Working closely with senior distribution professionals, you will support capital-raising initiatives for a range of European and US investment managers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support fundraising campaigns for private equity funds and co-investment opportunities.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with family offices, institutional investors, endowments, pension funds, and ultra-high-net-worth investors.
  3. Conduct proactive outbound business development and investor outreach to generate new fundraising opportunities.
  4. Identify, qualify, and onboard prospective investors.
  5. Coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, and due diligence processes.
  6. Prepare and manage investor communications, presentations, and fundraising materials.
  7. Maintain CRM systems and accurately track fundraising pipelines and activity.
  8. Work closely with private equity managers to position investment strategies effectively to prospective investors.
  9. Support broader business development initiatives across Europe and North America.

Requirements

  1. 2–5 years' experience in sales or business development, ideally in a financial services setting. We particularly interested to speak with candidates with a background in:
  2. Expert Networks
  3. SDRs / BDRs selling into Private Equity / VC accounts
  4. Candidates MUST have outbound sales experience
  5. Experience engaging with family offices, institutional investors, endowment funds, pension funds, UHNW investors, or similar investor groups is highly desirable.
  6. A genuine interest in private equity, growth equity, venture capital, and alternative investments.
  7. Strong communication, relationship management, and organisational skills.
  8. A proactive and commercially minded approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
