Job Description - Capital Projects Director, Corporate Real Estate
The Role
Reporting into the Corporate Real Estate leadership team, you will have end-to-end responsibility for major refurbishment and construction programmes, including live, in‑situ office projects. Key responsibilities include:
Leading multi‑year capital projects from strategic concept through to delivery, including phasing, budgeting, and execution planning
Setting and overseeing project governance, approvals, risk management, and cost control frameworks
Acting as the primary interface between internal business stakeholders and external project delivery partners
Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams including project managers, architects, designers, engineers, and specialist consultants
Partnering closely with internal functions such as Communications, Change Management, Architecture, Engineering, and Construction
Ensuring projects meet quality, safety, sustainability, and compliance standards while driving continuous improvement and innovation across the portfolio
About You
You are an experienced senior project or programme leader with deep exposure to corporate real estate, construction, or capital works environments. You bring both strategic oversight and hands‑on leadership capability.
Key experience and attributes include:
Proven leadership of large‑scale, complex capital works or workplace transformation programmes
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical delivery into clear, executive‑level communication
Experience governing external partners and professional services teams in a matrixed, corporate environment
Sound understanding of cost management, scheduling, risk, compliance, and health & safety within construction projects
Exposure to sustainable design, modern workplace strategies, and customer or employee experience considerations is highly desirable
Background or qualifications in Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
