Location: Mirfield, UK
Shifts: Full-Time, Day Shift (with flexibility for shift cover)
Salary: £40,000

A leading manufacturer in Mirfield is seeking a skilled Carding Rewire Engineer to support the maintenance, rewiring, and continuous improvement of carding and production machinery.

• Rewire and mechanically maintain carding machines and other production equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
• Communicate with machine operators and the wider maintenance team to resolve issues quickly.
• Support capital improvement and engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including personal tools and shared workshop spaces.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Time-served engineer or City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in carding wire fettling
• Strong background in machinery maintenance, fault finding, and repair (including hydraulics, pneumatics).
• Competency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
