Cardiology Administrator – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Cardiology Department | Spire Nottingham Hospital | Tollerton | Private Hospital | Permanent | Full Time 

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and customer-focused Cardiology Administrator to join our busy Cardiology Department on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role within a dedicated clinical team, providing comprehensive administrative support and ensuring a seamless experience for patients throughout their cardiology journey.

As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for coordinating appointments, managing patient records, supporting consultants and clinicians, and maintaining effective communication with patients and colleagues. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care and service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage your own daily workload, ensuring cardiology waiting lists and appointments are organised and booked efficiently.


• Prioritise and triage referrals promptly, working closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support safe and timely patient care.


• Maintain accurate pending and appointment lists, ensuring all information is kept up to date.


• Produce reliable monthly waiting-time data and check spreadsheets for anomalies to ensure every referral is actioned correctly.


• Request and track patient notes from the RUH and external hospitals to support smooth clinical pathways.


• Carry out a range of administrative tasks, including scanning, emailing, filing and general office duties.


• Support the wider Cardiology Admin Team, providing cross-cover and contributing to a collaborative, patient-focused service.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience in working in Administration


• Able to demonstrate good customer service skills


• NVQ L3 or A Levels or equivalent relevant experience


• Knowledge of medical terminiolgoy


• Ability to perform basic functions in Microsoft Office


• Excellent communication skills


• Able to manage individual work load effectively


• Experience of managing and prioritising own workload and working to deadlines

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
