Job overview

We are recruiting for a Cardiology Waiting List Officer (CDH) who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The post holder will provide efficient administrative support in all aspects of the department’s work as directed by the Lead Physiologists. This includes accurate data input of referral letters onto EPR, working in a busy reception area, booking of patients and response to patient enquiries.

Lister Hospital has a busy Cardiology department supporting 13 Consultant Cardiologists. We have a busy ambulatory service, performing over 5000 ambulatory monitors a year with plans for expansion

Main duties of the job

To manage the patient pathway through the Community Diagnostic Hub process using trust systems and processes.

To work closely with lead physiologists to ensure smooth running of the Community Diagnostic Hub service

Re-assure patients when required, of booking process. Refer patient to medical staff for more complexenquiries. Refer anxious, angry, distressed or aggressive patients to an Admin Supervisor.

To maintain the integrity of EPR data to ensure accuracy of data extracted.

Book outpatient appointments on EPR (CRIS). Provide clinic prep with the vetted referral letter tosupport the patient’s clinic attendance.

Qualifications / Training

  • Educated to minimum GCSE level or equivalent EPR trained
