We are looking for caring and dedicated Care Assistants to join our teams at Downs House and Stroud House, providing high-quality elderly care in warm, supportive environments.

Downs House is a 46-bed residential care home located less than one mile from Petersfield town centre, offering a welcoming setting built on dignity, respect, and compassion.

Stroud House is a 25-bed home specialising in elderly care, including support for residents living with complex dementia. We focus on creating a calm, reassuring environment where residents’ comfort and wellbeing always come first.

If you are an experienced or motivated Care Assistant with a passion for elderly care, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference every day.

Your Role as a Care Assistant

As a Care Assistant, you will:

• Deliver personal care and support with daily living activities


• Assist with mealtimes, mobility, and social engagement


• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes


• Maintain accurate care records


• Support colleagues to ensure safe, high-quality care


• Promote dignity, independence, and person-centred care
