Care home Chef

Are you passionate about preparing nutritious meals that make a difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a dedicated Chef to join our friendly team at a Cardiff Nursing home , where wholesome food and care go hand in hand.

• Plan and prepare well-balanced, home-cooked meals for residents based on dietary requirements.

• Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and to a high standard.

• Work closely with care staff to tailor menus to individual needs and preferences.

• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, complying with food safety standards.

• Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.

• Proven experience as a chef or cook (preferably in a care or healthcare setting).

• Knowledge of dietary needs, including soft diets, allergens, and nutrition for older adults.

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to obtain).

• A caring nature and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
