Registered Manager – New Supported Living Service
We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established care provider for an experienced CQC Registered Manager to take responsibility for a newly developed Supported Living service in Hampshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional to join a new service at an exciting stage of development. You will have the opportunity to establish the service, build and lead a high-performing team, and ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred support.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for service quality, CQC compliance, operational performance, team leadership and financial performance.
About the Service
The role will initially oversee a newly developed Supported Living service in Aldershot, designed to support adults with mental health needs and promote independence, wellbeing and community inclusion.
The service includes:
14 modern, fully self-contained apartments Purpose-designed accommodation supporting independent living Dedicated staff facilities and office space Outdoor space Good access to healthcare and community services Close proximity to local amenities, employment opportunities, parks and transport links Each person supported will have their own tenancy and exclusive use of their apartment, with their care and support provided separately from their housing arrangement.
There is also significant scope for further Supported Living development across Hampshire, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the growth of additional services supporting people with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance
Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation Lead quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement Prepare the service for inspections and ensure regulatory standards are consistently met Develop and implement service improvement plans Oversee safeguarding, risk management and governance Ensure support is safe, effective, person-centred and outcome-focused
Leadership & Team Management
Recruit, lead and develop a strong and effective staff team Manage induction, supervision and performance processes Coach and motivate staff to deliver high-quality support Promote a positive and inclusive team culture Support employee engagement, wellbeing and retention Develop strong working relationships with families, professionals and commissioners
Operational & Commercial Management
Take responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the service Manage budgets and financial performance Monitor occupancy and service sustainability Review KPIs and implement appropriate improvement actions Build effective relationships with local stakeholders and commissioners Identify opportunities to improve and develop the service Support the development of additional Supported Living services across Hampshire
About You
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager who is confident taking ownership of a service and leading it through its next stage of development.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience as a Registered Manager within adult social care Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards this Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and regulatory requirements Proven experience leading, managing and developing care teams Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills Experience managing operational and quality performance Ability to balance quality, compliance, people management and commercial responsibilities Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Hampshire when required
