  • Serve as the administrator for the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) online service; manage all local authority and fee earner queries.
  • Draft LAA applications, scope and limit extensions, prior authorities, and billing documents for fee earner review.
  • Draft letters, file notes, telephone notes, court documents, and other correspondence.
  • Attend client meetings and court hearings with fee earners and take detailed notes.
  • Perform other ad hoc office and legal support duties as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and polite telephone manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Organised and able to manage time and tasks efficiently.
  • Confident typing and drafting skills with strong literacy.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Working knowledge of standard office equipment and legal administration processes.
  • Previous experience in a legal office environment, ideally in a Family or Care team.
