We're looking for a practical, reliable and compassionate Care Technologist to join Lilli.
This is a hybrid role, split between working from home, visiting customers' homes and spending some time at our office in Pulborough, West Sussex. You'll start by covering installations in the Bromley area, and this may expand over time. Most of your time in the field will go on installing, configuring and supporting Lilli's home monitoring technology, and you'll also carry out some assessments. When referrals come in, you'll phone customers to book their installations.
Many of our customers are older adults or vulnerable people, so the role is about more than technical installation. You'll be working in people's homes, sometimes at sensitive moments, so you'll need to be calm, respectful and empathetic on every visit. You'll also need to explain things clearly and reassuringly to customers and their families.
What you'll do
Process referrals and book installations, repairs and collections by phone
Install Lilli equipment safely and efficiently in customers' homes, including safe mounting (minor drilling and adjustments where needed)
Pair and provision IoT devices, then set up, configure and test everything before leaving
Set up the Lilli mobile app (iOS and Android) for customers and family members
Troubleshoot basic connectivity and setup issues
Remove or replace equipment when required
Carry out assessments as part of the referral and installation process
Keep accurate referral and installation notes in HubSpot CRM
Report incidents promptly, in line with company guidelines
Manage your own daily schedule and keep installation stock and equipment in order
Pass on customer feedback and insights to the wider Lilli team
Requirements
This isn't just about installing equipment. It's about helping people feel safe, supported and confident in their own homes. You'll be:
Confident with home technology, including routers, Wi-Fi and connected devices
Practical, with strong attention to detail
A clear communicator with a calm, reassuring manner
Experienced in working with vulnerable people
Organised, able to balance field visits with triage and planning
Comfortable working on your own in the field and managing your own workload
Aware of basic electrical safety
Desirable
Experience with assistive technology, telecare or TEC (Technology Enabled Care)
A background in health and social care, for example as an OT assistant, support worker, rehab assistant or care technologist
Experience in a hands-on field role such as installation, maintenance or technical support
Experience installing home automation, alarm systems or IoT devices
Safeguarding training (Level 1 or above)
Knowledge of GDPR and data protection
Must have:
Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle
Willingness to travel to customers' homes, initially across the Bromley area, and to our office in Pulborough when needed
A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check (we'll arrange this as part of the hiring process)
