Carpenter (Workshop-Based)

Location: Near Yateley, Hampshire
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Overtime & Bonuses
Hours: 40 p/w, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Are you a versatile carpenter who thrives on variety and high-quality workmanship?

We’re looking for a highly skilled carpenter/joiner to join a busy and creative workshop near Yateley. The role involves producing a wide range of bespoke timber structures, including display units, signage frames, fascias, lightboxes and one-off builds for commercial environments.

This is not a basic second-fix site role. We’re looking for someone with a deep understanding of all aspects of joinery and carpentry, who can interpret drawings, think on their feet and consistently deliver polished, professional results.

For the right person, we’re offering a competitive salary up to £40,000, plus regular overtime and bonus opportunities!

Carpenter Responsibilities:

• Produce a variety of high-quality timber-based products including signage structures, fascias, display pieces, and custom joinery projects
  
  
• Interpret drawings, technical specifications, and verbal briefs to complete projects from start to finish
  
  
• Cut, shape, and assemble wood and sheet materials using hand tools and woodworking machinery
  
  
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and finish on all projects
  
  
• Work closely with designers and other workshop staff to ensure smooth project delivery
  
  
• Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe working environment
  
  

Carpenter Profile:

• A skilled and experienced carpenter confident in first fix, second fix, and detailed joinery
  
  
• Proven ability to work across a wide range of project types and materials
  
  
• Someone with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  
• A team player with a proactive attitude and pride in their craft
  
  
• Experience within signage, shopfitting, exhibition, or display manufacturing is beneficial but not essential
