Casual Recreation Assistant - Dunmurray, Belfast| £13.69 per hour | Temporary, 24 weeks

Hatched Recruitment Group is currently recruiting Casual Recreation Assistants to join Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council on a temporary basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for sport and leisure to join a busy, customer-focused environment, helping to deliver a high standard of service to the local community.

What you'll be doing:

Helping ensure sports and activity equipment is safely set up, dismantled, and stored
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health and safety throughout the facility
Supervising customers to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience
Providing front of house/reception cover as required
Assisting with the delivery of the centre's programme, including coaching/instructing where qualified
Supporting new staff inductions and complying with Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult guidelines

What we're looking for:

A relevant, recognised coaching qualification, OR at least 2 years' experience in a customer service role (minimum 1 year plus a coaching qualification also accepted)
Previous experience working with the public in a customer service setting
A First Aid at Work qualification is desirable
Previous experience in a leisure facility is desirable
Awareness of Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult issues
Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check (essential - this is a regulated post)
Eligibility to work in the UK

Pay: £13.69 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 24 hours per week
Contract: Temporary, 24 weeks
Start date: 21 September 2026
Location: Kilmakee Activity Centre, Dunmurry, Belfast

Weekly pay, holiday accrual, and pension auto-enrolment (subject to eligibility) all included.
