Category Executive
Harrow (Hybrid)
Up to £30,000 + 10% Bonus

I am recruiting for a Category Executive to join a leading retailer based within their north London office. You will be responsible for assisting the product managers to understand both customer and Distribution Centre requirements across specific product categories using analysis of various information sources including sales, consumer insight, market trends, competitor info to help the team build a compelling range for customers. Supporting the Category team to develop products and ranges that to continuously improve, innovate and maximise profitability. Your main responsibilities as the Category Executive will include.
Monitor Sales, Margins & profits against targets and produce reports as requested.
Assisting in identifying & developing new products to enhance the category portfolio.
Providing product technical data information & support to the team
Working cross functionally with Sales & Marketing to understand the changing retail market / trends.
Supporting to improve new or existing products through design or the redesign of products and/or packaging, in line with company branding standards.
Maintain cross functional relationships to achieve the overall product & category strategy.
Supporting the team with all administrative tasks for the category.
Monitoring competitor information, market trends, category insight and highlight to the senior team.

Key requirements for the role.
Proven experience as Category Assistant / Executive within a fast paced, FMCG environment preferably Food / Beverage / Non-Food grocery
Ability to interpret and analyse data from various sources.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing FMCG market.
Good level of education, degree is preferable.
Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel
