Role Description
The Category Leader works as a member of an Indirect Procurement category team to provide procurement and supply chain capability through the delivery of the category strategy to meet the operational needs of business unit stakeholders.
Core Duties
Effective supplier management of key suppliers primarily within the PPE, workwear and laundry sub-categories
Effective internal stakeholder management across multiple functions and positions
Become a subject matter expert within the assigned categories through the formation of an intelligent and insightful network.
Procurement authority for the rollout of point of use technology and other innovative solutions into multiple business
Ownership of category strategies leveraging spend and relationships across the business
Contracting new and existing supplier contracts
Sourcing, negotiating and contracting business requirements in a highly capable and professional manner
Development of an ESG roadmap within the assigned categories with agreed objectives against actionable and tangible outputs
