Category Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Category Manager to join a growing Procurement & Supply Chain function, shaping strategy across a broad range of categories.

With £500m of annual third-party spend to analyse and influence, this is a role where commercial thinking, strategic sourcing and supplier management can make a real impact.

What you'll be doing:

Developing and implementing category strategies across goods, works and services.

Analysing spend to identify savings, efficiencies and value-add opportunities.

Leading sourcing activity, negotiations and contract development.

Building strong supplier relationships and driving performance.

Managing contract renewals, mitigating supply chain risks and reducing total cost of ownership.

Working with stakeholders to deliver procurement objectives and measurable results.

What we're looking for:
✔ Proven experience developing and delivering successful category strategies.
✔ Strong spend analysis and commercial acumen.
✔ Experience with complex contracts, sourcing and supplier negotiations.
✔ Excellent stakeholder management and attention to detail.
✔ Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
