Category Manager- SDA

Quest Search and Selection is currently partnering with a retail e-commerce platform with operations in the UK & Europe, is currently growing their non-food category team! Their advanced technology offers fast and reliable delivery services, within hours or by the next day. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Category Manager- SDA for everyday household electrical appliances that are portable or semi-portable such as Kettles, Toasters, Microwaves, Coffee machines etc.

The roles & responsibilities of this Category Manager- SDA role -

1. Built and managed strong supplier relationships to ensure access to high-quality, competitive product offerings.
2. Product assortment, providing the best selection of items for consumers at the best price.
3. Lead purchasing and sales activity for the product category, including Kettles, Toasters, Microwaves, Coffee machines etc
4. Developed and execute category strategies for high-SKU-count ranges.
5. Business development with brands and suppliers, bringing the leading brands on board and exclusive promotions.
6. Analyse category and supplier performance using key metrics to identify sourcing gaps and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
7. Negotiate pricing and cost efficiencies to enhance gross profit margins.
8. Collaborated closely with international supply chain teams to ensure resource availability and operational alignment.

The qualifications of this Category Manager- SDA role -

1. Ideally having experience as Category, Senior Category Buying, Senior Buying or Head of Buying
2. Strong category or buying experience within retail or eCommerce.
3. We are looking for various positions but needing candidates within between 8 - 10 + years' experience.
4. We are looking for people with passion for their category & can really own, develop & executive the end-to-end range - this is where the entrepreneurial spirt is needed!
5. This is a high growth business, so need people who are hands on, available and thrive in a fast-paced environment where decision happen quickly.
6. You must have experience in consumer electronics or related categories mentioned.
7. Deep understanding of consumers, with strong market insights and proven purchasing expertise.
8. Established supplier relationships within the household appliance network in the UK.
9. Exceptional analytical abilities and logical thinking.
