Catering Assistant

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Catering Assistant based within Cardiff, CF11.

To work as part of the Catering Team to maintain a clean and food safe department. Provision of a Catering Service in a Hospital/Healthcare setting to ensure high quality service provision.

Available shifts / Locations below:

• Monday until Friday (5 days a week)-This is a full time position
• Postcode: CF11 9XB
• 07:00-18:30PM
• £12.82 including holiday pay, however you have option to accrue
• Paid Weekly, Every Friday before 5 PM.

Skills and experience required:

• Must have at least 2 years previous experience
• Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 desirable
• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
• Able to manage time effectively
• Ability to work both alone and in a team
• Awareness of health and safety procedures
• COSHH
• Food Allergens Training desirable
• Experience of working within Hotel & Catering industry and/or Facilities Management sector
• DBS Certificate required
• Responsible for accepting food in line with department working instructions and using own initiative while complying with all food safety guidelines.
• Responsible for the allocation of patient food to the housekeepers supporting them in making sure they have enough food to complete the meal service.
• To work in a chilled area to allocate the patient food following the correct picking and packing process and adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Notifying management and administration on any discrepancies from receipt to distribution of catering supplies
