Catering Assistant - Health Care

We are looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to work within a medical setting in Clifton, Bristol.

Job Purpose:

To provide a quality food and beverage service to patients and visitors at ward level. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital.

MENUS

1. Responsible for taking meal orders from patients and visitors on a daily basis.

2. Observe all dietary requirements as identified on nurses list and ensure patient’s menu choice is compatible.

FOOD SERVICE

1. Responsible for the service of food and beverages to patients and visitors.

2. Responsible for presentations of patient’s trays as per patient tray policy.

3. Responsible for the prompt collection of all used trays, crockery, cutlery and glassware.

4. Responsible for offering and serving refreshments before and after a meal and as required at patients or visitors requests.

PERSON PROFILE:

- Strong customer service skills with a keen eye for detail

- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers at all levels

- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise demanding workloads accordingly

- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met

Full Time hours (37.5 hours per week), with shifts available 7 days a week including bank holidays.

Full Training provided!

Successful candidates would be required to complete Disclosure and Barring Service Checks.
