Catering Franchise & Bar Manager Opportunity - Nelson Golf Club

Nelson Golf Club, established in 1902, is home to an 18-hole moorland golf course, designed by the famous golf architect Doctor Alistair MacKenzie.
Both the golf course and clubhouse boast some of the most spectacular views overlooking the Pendle countryside.
The club caters for several golf days, societies, opens and visitors, alongside servicing over 500 members. The club also holds various functions and events throughout the year.
The position and benefits of the roles will provide an outstanding opportunity for the right candidates.
Accommodation on site with the benefits of covered overheads for both kitchen and accommodation will be provided.
Nelson G.C is ideally seeking a couple for the role whereby the catering is that of a franchise, with the bar manager/steward employed/salaried by the club. The club however are open to discussing the structure and details of the roles with the right candidates should it cover that of the business model requirements.
Within the positions:
The bar steward/manager and caterer will be expected to:

Provide a full range of catering services to both members and guests.

Ensure food and bar hygiene standards are up to date and of a high level.

Manage enquiries and bookings in relation F&B for events.

Act as the designated premises supervision for alcohol sales.
-

Recruit, train and rota front of house staff.

Ensure the security of the clubhouse premises.

Work alongside the Business Manager to ensure all H&S requirements are in place.
Whilst previous experience within a golf club would be of an advantage it is not essential, we invite all applications to apply should you have suitable F&B experience, and that you can showcase a friendly and high level of customer service to suit the roles.
