Catering Lecturer (Chef) – 2 Days per Week | September Start | Temporary | College

Are you an experienced chef looking to inspire the next generation of catering professionals?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education college for a Catering Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis for the 2026/27 academic year. The college is recruiting permanently, but requires an experienced professional to support learners from the start of the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who enjoys sharing their knowledge in a practical learning environment.

The Role

* Deliver Catering and Professional Cookery sessions to FE learners

* Prepare and deliver engaging practical and classroom-based lessons

* Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback

* Support students in developing the skills and confidence required for careers within the hospitality industry

* Work collaboratively with the wider curriculum team

Contract Details

* Start: September 2026

* Duration: Temporary for the academic year

* Days: Tuesday & Thursday

* Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm

* Contract: 0.4 FTE (2 days per week)

What We're Looking For

* Strong professional chef or catering background

* Previous teaching or training experience within Further Education is desirable, but industry professionals looking to move into teaching are encouraged to apply

* Relevant catering or hospitality qualifications

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* A passion for developing future talent within the hospitality industry
