We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology teacher to join our vibrant team in Southwark, South London. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young women.

About the Role:

• You will be responsible for planning, delivering and marking engaging and informative Food Technology lessons for students across all year groups (tailored to the National Curriculum).


• You will create a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters a love of food, cooking skills, and an understanding of nutrition.


• You will play a key role in developing students’ practical skills in the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.


• You will be expected to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Food Technology and ensure the curriculum reflects these advancements.


• You will contribute to the overall development of the Food Technology department and play a part in school events.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a relevant subject.


• A strong passion for food and a demonstrably engaging teaching style.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills.


• The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.


• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.


• Experience working in a Catholic school environment (desirable).
