CCTV Systems Designer

We’re looking for an experienced CCTV Systems Designer to join our client’s team in Derby, supporting projects from initial design through to successful delivery. Ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of CCTV and security systems, this role offers the opportunity to work with leading technology and make an impact. Flexibility on location may be considered for the right candidate.

Location and Working Pattern
Based in Derby
Full-time, 42 hours per week, Monday to FridayClient Overview

Responsibilities
Conduct site surveys to assess CCTV and security requirements
Develop CCTV layouts and complete design packs
Specify cameras, recording systems, and network infrastructure
Produce practical, compliant designs based on customer requirements
Support technical queries and provide guidance during installation and commissioning
Contribute to design reviews and ensure quality standards throughout project delivery
Maintain accurate project documentation and design recordsMust-have Requirements
Proven experience in CCTV system design
Competent user of AutoCAD or similar design software
Strong understanding of camera selection, coverage calculations, recording systems, and network integration
Ability to interpret client requirements into compliant, practical solutions
Experience supporting installation teams and commissioningNice-to-have Skills
Knowledge of CCTV standards (including BS EN 62676), data protection requirements, and security best practices
Relevant qualifications in CCTV, security systems, or electrical/design disciplines
Familiarity with electronic security and integration projectsApply Now
