Ceded/Outwards Reinsurance Technician

We are looking for a Reinsurance Technician to join us on a permanent basis. You will be supporting our insurance clients based in the city of London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and submitting inwards transactions, applying treaty terms (retention, cession & commission) accurately
• Process and analyse bordereaux and statements of account; maintain complete and auditable records
• Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including reconciliation of ceded premiums, reinstatement premiums, and recoveries
• Track and collect outstanding recoverables, liaising with brokers and reinsurers to resolve discrepancies
• Monitor treaty expiry dates, commission schedules, and ensure SLA compliance
• Assist with post-bind contract administration and system input; support audit and collateral tracking
• Support communication with underwriters and finance to ensure alignment on expected vs. actual recoveries

• 3 years in reinsurance or insurance claims/accounting support.

• Familiarity with reinsurance treaties (quota share, excess-of-loss).
• Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and analytical ability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Paying up to £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
