We're looking for a Central Planning Co-ordinator to join our Planning & Support team at Whistl North. Working closely with the Planning Supervisor, Network Planning Manager, and Transport Planning team, you'll support the day-to-day planning of collections and deliveries across our network while helping to ensure operational efficiency and excellent service levels.
This is a varied role that combines transport planning support, reporting, administration, system management, and stakeholder communication, making it ideal for someone with experience in a transport or logistics environment who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational setting.

About the RoleWhat you will be doing
Support the planning of collections and deliveries across the network's van fleet. Monitor volumes against available capacity and highlight any issues to the Planning team. Communicate effectively with drivers, depots, transport teams, and operational colleagues. Work closely with Customer Service and Commercial teams to fulfil customer collection requests. Maintain and update transport systems, ensuring data accuracy and overall system housekeeping. Produce performance reports and distribute information across the wider business. Identify opportunities for route improvements and support efficiency initiatives. Assist with shared mailbox management, administration, and wider planning activities. Requirements
What We're Looking For
Experience within a transport, logistics, planning, or distribution environment. Good knowledge of UK geography and road networks. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively and see tasks through to completion. Experience using transport management or logistics planning systems
