Chargehand / Plant Technician (Hull)

We’re looking for a motivated Chargehand / Plant Technician to join our team at the Hull facility.

Hourly Rate: £15.78
Working Hours: 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am
Work Pattern: 2 days on / 2 nights on / 4 days off
Average Weekly Hours: 39.375

About the Role
Reporting to the Supervisor, you’ll support the planning, coordination, and supervision of staff, vehicles, plant, and equipment on site. This role also involves ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards and maintaining accurate operational records.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop operational staff.
• Maintain effective communication with contractors and clients.
• Oversee stock control and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Promote and maintain compliance with H&S policies and ISO procedures.
• Deputise for the Contract Supervisor when required.

Requirements

• Team player with strong leadership and delegation skills.
• Experience in workload and holiday planning.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
