Job Description - Charity Solicitor - 5 PQE

A leading firm is seeking a motivated Charity Solicitor, with 5+ PQE, to join their Private Client Team, with flexibility to work from multiple locations. This is an excellent chance for a solicitor with passion and ambition to advance their career, develop strong client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the firm’s charity practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Establishing and registering charitable entities
Advising charity trustees on their roles, responsibilities, and powers
Guiding on charity mergers and asset transfers
Drafting policies and key charity documentation
Managing the closure and de-registration of charities
Collaborating with property and employment teams on charity-related issues
Liaising with the Charity Commission
Advising on regulatory matters within the charity sector
Delivering exceptional client service in partnership with team members
Participating in business development and networking initiatives
Supervising and mentoring junior staff members

About You:

Proven experience working with charities of varying sizes
Ability to exercise sound judgment with appropriate levels of supervision depending on the transaction
Strong understanding of relevant legal principles and their practical application
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Approachable and skilled at building effective relationships with clients and colleagues
Proactive and willing to go the extra mile
