Job Description - Chartered Financial Planner

The Opportunity:

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Financial Planner to join a true family office environment supporting a small number of high-net-worth families across multiple generations. This firm offers a unique proposition, operating without sales or revenue targets, and focuses entirely on delivering best-in-class, client-centric advice.

Working closely with in-house experts across investment management, legal, tax, philanthropy, family business and property services, you will deliver fully integrated solutions tailored to each client’s needs. The environment is quality-driven, collaborative, and operates at the highest professional standards.

Role Overview:

  • Deliver holistic financial planning advice to new and existing clients, collaborating with in-house specialists.
  • Maintain gold-standard file quality, with peer review and senior sign-off processes supporting best client outcomes.
  • Manage cases end-to-end without reliance on paraplanners or administrators.
  • Mentor and coach a developing adviser through diploma studies and technical skills development.
  • Be responsible for your own caseload while working closely with leadership to ensure advice is consistently exceptional.

What Makes This Role Different:

  • No sales or revenue targets: Advice quality is the only KPI.
  • Client-first environment: If a case isn't 100% right, it is paused or withdrawn, not pushed through.
  • High-calibre internal resources: In-house legal, tax, investment and philanthropic expertise — no outsourcing.
  • Autonomous but supported: You manage your own work but collaborate closely with senior colleagues.
  • Culture of Excellence: A small, close-knit team where everyone is at the top of their game and supports each other.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Chartered Financial Planner, or very close to Chartered status.
  • Strong technical background, ideally with previous paraplanning or full client management experience.
  • Comfortable managing complex client needs without layers of administrative support.
  • Highly detail-orientated, with a true commitment to professional and ethical standards.
  • A natural team player who thrives in a collaborative, quality-driven environment.

Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to join a genuine family office — not a marketing label, but a true service — and work at the highest technical level, free from sales pressures. Every case will challenge and develop you, and every client relationship will be bespoke and deeply personal.

If you want to work somewhere where every day is a learning opportunity, and client outcomes always come first, we would love to hear from you.
