Chef – Residential Care Setting - Winchester

Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Chef to join a welcoming residential care setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a Chef who takes pride in preparing fresh, nutritious and appetising home-cooked meals while creating a positive dining experience for residents. You’ll play an important role in supporting residents’ wellbeing through great food, thoughtful menu planning and a caring approach.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

Preparing and cooking nutritious, home-cooked meals and snacks
Catering for a range of dietary requirements
Working with residents to understand their food preferences
Creating enjoyable dining experiences
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
Taking part in activities such as baking and bread making with residents
Working as part of a friendly and supportive team
About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Experienced and passionate about cooking
Caring, patient and approachable
Creative and enthusiastic about food
Organised with excellent communication skills
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Flexible and able to adapt to residents’ individual needs
In possession of a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
