Hours: 40 hours per week (includes every other weekend)

Salary: £34,000 plus enhancement on weekends

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our clients large modern care home for the elderly. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a professional kitchen and be knowledgeable in providing meals for large numbers, with an understanding of menu planning for specialist diets. Experience in leading and motivating a team, as well as engaging with elderly residents, is essential for this role.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working in a professional kitchen, providing meals for large numbers

• Knowledge of menu planning for specialist diets

• Experience leading and motivating a team

• Effective communication skills to engage with elderly residents

• Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or equivalent (preferred)

• Texture modified foods / IDDIS training

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritional meals for elderly residents in the care home

• Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals

• Engage with residents to understand their individual dietary needs and preferences

• Manage budget and stock effectively to ensure efficient kitchen operations

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
