Are you a talented Chef with a passion for nutritious, home-style cooking? We’re hiring on behalf of a well-regarded residential care home seeking a dedicated Chef to prepare delicious, wholesome meals for older adults. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference through food.

As a Care Home Chef, you’ll be responsible for creating varied menus and preparing meals that meet individual dietary needs including modified textures and allergen requirements. You’ll work in a collaborative kitchen environment where quality, safety, and respect are key.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef, preferably in a care home, hospital, or similar healthcare setting

• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or equivalent)

• Good knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP, COSHH, and Health & Safety

• Confident in preparing meals for special diets (e.g., diabetic, gluten-free, low-sodium)

• Team player with excellent communication skills

• Creative, reliable, and passionate about nutritious, visually appealing food

• Strong time management and kitchen organisation

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare meals in line with residents' needs and preferences

• Follow dietary guidelines and ensure meals are safely prepared

• Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations

• Communicate with care staff to understand residents’ dietary changes

• Support menu development and incorporate resident feedback

• Manage stock levels and assist with food ordering
