Job Description - Chef De Partie

An opportunity has become available for a highly driven and committed individual to undertake a full-time role as a Chef De Partie at Fleetwood Town Football Club.

Main role:

You will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for players, staff, and guests, ensuring all food meets the highest standards. This role requires flexibility, as shifts will predominantly be during afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Preparing and cooking ingredients necessary and assisting in all sections of the kitchen as directed by the Head Chef / Sous Chef.
  • Work efficiently across different kitchen sections to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Ensure that food storage areas are maintained in accordance with the company’s Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Assist in stock management and ordering ingredients as needed.
  • Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen production areas.
  • Support menu development, incorporating fresh and nutritious ingredients.
  • Cater for a range of dietary needs, particularly for athletes, high-performance individuals and customers at Poolfoot Farm and Highbury Stadium.
  • Work collaboratively within a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring smooth service.
  • Maintain and care for kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Learning skills and recipes from management of the department and applying them.
  • Maintain the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCP regulations.
  • Keeping the storerooms well stocked and organised at all times.
  • Complying with the daily cleaning rota.
  • Accepting / assisting with food deliveries from suppliers and storing the produce appropriately.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (Food Safety Level 2 minimum).
  • A passion for high-quality food and fresh ingredients.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during busy service times.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required.

  • Professionalism and communicate effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times.
  • A flair and enthusiasm for cooking with fresh quality ingredients.
