Location: Evershot, Dorset

Salary: £30,000–£32,000 depending on experience

Service charge: Up to approximately £4,000 per year

Hours: 40+ per week, with a mixture of straight and split shifts

Start: January 2027

Contract: Permanent, full-time

The Opportunity

A historic 16th-century coaching inn in the Dorset countryside is seeking a permanent Chef de Partie to join its four-chef kitchen team. The inn holds 2 AA Rosettes, 4 AA Stars and a Michelin Key, combining destination dining with characterful luxury accommodation.

The Head Chef will be taking maternity leave early in 2027, with the Senior Sous Chef stepping up during that period. This is a permanent addition to the team rather than temporary maternity cover, offering a committed chef the opportunity to develop across all areas of a quality kitchen.

The Role

• Run an allocated section confidently and consistently


• Prepare and deliver food to the inn’s established 2 AA Rosette standard


• Work across all areas of the kitchen using fresh, locally sourced ingredients


• Contribute ideas to seasonal menus alongside the wider kitchen team


• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen


• Monitor stock requirements and communicate ordering needs


• Cover breakfast service when required on the rota


• Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and organisation

About You

• Existing Chef de Partie, or a strong Demi Chef de Partie or Commis Chef ready to step up


• Comfortable running a section without close supervision


• Experience working with fresh produce in a busy professional kitchen


• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent practical experience


• Calm, level-headed and collaborative


• Career-minded, reliable and keen to continue developing

• Salary up to £32,000 depending on experience
