Our Venue
The Ferry House - a beautiful 4*, 2AA rosette, 16th century country restaurant sitting alongside the Swale Estuary in the peaceful hamlet of Harty, on the Isle of Sheppey.
The venue, with its 2 kitchens and onsite butchery, offers award-winning dining and hosts over 100 weddings a year, with onsite accommodation for 75+ (please note that this position is for our restaurant team - weddings are catered by our separate banqueting chef team).
With our expansive Kitchen Garden, family-owned Farm, private Game Estate, and extensive local suppliers, we aim to champion homegrown Kentish produce.
Positions available
We have a CDP position available in our dining or banquet team (We may consider a Commis or Demi role if you are the right person but without enough experience yet)
Our dining team put out a strong 2 AA Rosette Menu using local produce & our Banquet team catering for around 150 events a year.
You must have previous experience - this is not an entry level or newcomer role.
Working Conditions
We are a family run business, and we like to treat our team as family. We are an honest group of people, who work hard together and achieve great things year on year. We are a growing business so there is always something new we are doing or aiming for each year.
Minimum 5 days off from Xmas Eve every year
Full-time chefs work 4 days per week (48 Hours) - 3 days off with rotating weekend time off totalling 4 Sat or Suns a month off (we can consider part-time opportunities also)
Great working spaces & equipment...1 service kitchen, 1 prep kitchen, 1 butchery (We butcher our own farmed meats & our own game on-site)
Extensive well-established kitchen gardens.
You will need a valid 'right to work' in the UK
DUE TO OUR LOCATION, DRIVING LICENSE AND YOUR OWN VEHICLE ARE ESSENTIAL
