Chef/Cook

Merriments Café & Restaurant is an expanding, independent business set alongside a beautiful 4-acre RHS garden, with a busy motorhome and caravan sales business on site and a workshop opening soon — bringing a steady flow of customers year-round.

We’re looking for a full-time Cook/Chef to work alongside our current chef, Edd as we continue to grow the restaurant. The role will focus on preparing and cooking our breakfast and lunchtime menus, along with a variety of meals and snacks.

We are keen to start hosting seasonal events in the gardens, making this an exciting time to join the team. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and hard working.

This is a hands-on role in a small, busy kitchen, ideal for someone with previous kitchen experience who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

The role includes:

* Food preparation and cooking during service

* Supporting breakfast and lunch service

* Following recipes and kitchen procedures

* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene

We’re looking for someone who:

* Has previous kitchen experience

* Is organised, reliable and punctual

* Works well under pressure

* Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn

* Works well in a team

* Is available to work 5 days a week on a rota basis
