The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Production & Warehouse Operative to join our operations team. This role combines chemical production, warehouse operations, stock control, and logistics activities, ensuring products are manufactured, handled, and dispatched safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and Health & Safety compliance

Responsibilities:

Receive daily shift instructions from the designated Manager or Deputy.
Inspect work areas and promptly report or rectify any housekeeping, equipment, or operational issues.
Complete production tasks safely and efficiently using established procedures, knowledge, and training.
Operate production equipment within approved operating parameters and guidelines.
Report any production issues, delays, or concerns to management in a timely manner.
Assist colleagues and other departments when required and appropriately trained.
Participate in emergency response procedures when necessary.
Documentation & Compliance

Complete all required documentation accurately, including:

Batch records
Check sheets and checklists
Picking lists
Training records
Work instructions

Ensure thorough communication and handover of any uncompleted work between shifts.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those relating to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
Warehouse & Logistics

Manage stock control activities and process customer orders.
Pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch.
Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
Maintain warehouse organisation and housekeeping standards.
Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding operational requirements and issues.
General Duties

Respond professionally to telephone and email enquiries.
Support operational objectives set by the management team.
Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the position
The Candidate:

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience working within a chemical production environment.

Good standard of Maths and English.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong team-working abilities.
Good planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and make decisions confidently.
Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Desirable

Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence (training can be provided for the right candidate).
