About the Role:

• Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the national curriculum and exam specifications.


• Design and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that foster a deep understanding of chemical principles.


• Conduct engaging practical experiments and demonstrations to enhance student learning.


• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and effective feedback.


• Contribute to the development of departmental resources and initiatives.


• Potential for a TLR for a candidate demonstrating a capacity for leadership and innovation within the department.


• Support the school’s commitment to providing a single sex education that allows girls to excel.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• In-depth knowledge of Chemistry.


• Enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to student progress.


• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.


• Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.


• Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry.


• A dedication to encouraging girls into STEM subjects.
