Position: Economics Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $75–$83/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on economics problems.
• Review and annotate problem sets using supply/demand figures, econometric output, and policy charts.
• Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to improve task quality and throughput.
• Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in Economics, MS/MA in Economics with 3+ years experience, or BA/BS in Economics with 5+ years experience.
• Working fluency in at least two of: microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, industrial organization, labor, development.
• Comfortable with supply/demand figures, econometric output, and policy charts.
• Clear technical writing skills; articulate reasoning step-by-step.
