Redbridge Sports & Leisure seeks to appoint a

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
in Barkingside, Essex


The Trust:
Redbridge Sports & Leisure is a thriving sporting complex run by Redbridge Sports Centre Trust Ltd, an independent charitable trust established in 1972. One of the largest venues of its kind, the Centre provides first-class sporting and social facilities, particularly in racket sports, for its members and the local community.

The Job:
As the Chief Executive Officer of Redbridge Sports Centre Trust Ltd (RSL), you will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and financial and operational oversight to ensure its success and sustainability. You will work closely with the Board of Directors and stakeholders and lead the management team to guide strategic direction, manage operations, drive growth, and enhance community engagement to deliver exceptional recreational services.

The Person:
RSL is seeking a candidate with experience in the following areas:

• Strategic planning, business development, and spearheading organisational change initiatives.
• Budgeting, financial forecasting and resource allocation to optimise performance.
• Prioritising customer satisfaction and ensuring service excellence across all facets of Leisure operations.
• Securing grants from grant awarding bodies with a proven track record of success.
• Analysing market trends and evaluating the competitive landscape to pinpoint growth opportunities.

A suitable professional qualification (e.g. a degree) in Business Administration, Management and Finance or a minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in senior management roles, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility & achievement is essential. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and presentation abilities coupled with a high degree of professionalism, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in conflict resolution.

The Facilities:
The Centre comprises an 8-court indoor tennis initiative, 6 floodlit outdoor courts, 12 multipurpose tennis/netball courts, 7 squash/racketball courts, 12 badminton / 3 indoor netball courts, 2 floodlit synthetic grass hockey/football pitches, 70 station fitness suite, three dance studios, a spinning studio, a health suite, therapy room, Sports Page bar, catering, coffee shop and a table tennis/function suite.
