About us
Birmingham St Mary’s and John Taylor Hospices merged in 2021. Now unified under one name, Birmingham Hospice, we care for more people than ever before. Our patients are at the heart of everything we do and have been throughout our combined 157-year history. We care for people with a variety of complex conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases and kidney failure, as well as cancer. Our vision is a future where everyone with a life-limiting illness will live and die with dignity and in comfort. Our mission is to enable more people from all communities to access the care they choose at the end of life.

Birmingham Hospice is dedicated to collaborating with community partners to enhance the quality of care and support services we provide our patients and their families. Through strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, social service agencies, advocacy organisations, and other stakeholders, we can expand our reach, improve access to care, and address the diverse needs of our community.

By working with our partners, we can leverage our combined resources, expertise, and networks to ensure that every individual facing end-of-life care receives the compassionate and personalised support they deserve.
