About the role:

An established and expanding healthcare organisation is seeking a visionary, commercially astute, and operationally capable Chief Executive Officer to lead its multidisciplinary teams and services across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering strategic direction, shaping growth, managing business performance, and upholding regulatory compliance across all service lines.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and implement the organisation’s strategic business plans in line with board objectives and market demands.
• Oversee all corporate functions, including operations, finance, clinical delivery, HR, marketing, and compliance.
• Maintain and develop stakeholder relationships with NHS partners, commissioners, insurers, regulators, and internal leadership.
• Ensure the effective use of information systems and data for performance monitoring and decision-making.
• Build and maintain a high-performing, values-driven executive team, supporting inclusive and collaborative leadership.
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
• Represent the organisation in public, professional, and regulatory forums with credibility and confidence.
• Ensure clinical governance, safeguarding, patient safety, and legal compliance are embedded across all operations.
• Monitor organisational KPIs, financial sustainability, and risk, reporting to the Board regularly.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as CEO, Managing Director, or senior healthcare executive in a regulated environment.
• Demonstrable success in leading service delivery and managing organisational change.
• Strategic thinker with a solid grasp of financial, operational, and clinical governance.
• Strong understanding of NHS commissioning, private healthcare markets, and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and people development skills.
• Degree in Business Management, Health Services Management, or equivalent. Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MSc, MBA) desirable.

• Familiarity with healthcare IT systems (e.g., EMIS, Tradeshift, FreeAgent, Xero).
