Salary: £77,132 - £80,878 per annum (FTE)
Contract: Permanent | Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Leadership Spine: SFC Leadership Spine L13–L15 (dependent on experience)

REED is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded sixth form college in Cambridge to recruit a dynamic and strategic Chief Finance Officer. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking educational institution that is committed to excellence and innovation.

As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the college, ensuring robust financial management, and supporting the senior leadership team in delivering outstanding outcomes for students. You will lead a dedicated finance team and oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial strategy and operations of the college
• Provide expert financial advice to the Principal and Governing Body
• Ensure compliance with funding regulations and financial policies
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
• Oversee procurement, contracts, and risk management

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within education or the public sector
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• A commitment to the values and mission of the college
