ABOUT ES BROADCAST
ES Broadcast is a leading provider of equipment sales, equipment rental and systems integration services to the professional broadcast industry, as well as live events, e sports, corporate and government sectors. The company is part of the ES Media Group, which also includes divisions in the cinema equipment rental (Film Store Rental) and library migration and content services (Memnon/LMH) industries. This function provides services to all companies across the ES Media Group in UK, Europe, New Zealand and USA.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Group CEO, the CFO will spearhead the financial strategy to ensure sustainable and profitable growth aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Heading up a team of 6, including a Financial Controller, a Finance Manager and a Head of HR, the CFO will be willing to roll their sleeves up where required and fully immerse themselves in the business.

DUTIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Financial Strategy & Management: Develop and implement finance strategies across the business portfolio, balancing cost, capital efficiency, and flexibility.
Financial Leadership: Oversee all financial matters, advising the Board and executive team, including:
Monitoring financial performance for effective day-to-day management.
Supporting commercial decision-making with robust costing models.
Communicating financial performance to the Board with high-quality analysis
Cash & Financial Controls: Ensure effective cash management and maintain strong financial controls.
Team Leadership: Lead the finance team and manage outsourced services (Payroll, IT).
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Act as a statutory director on one holding company’s Board and ensure compliance with accounting policies and tax authorities.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Produce budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support investments and annual planning.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with banks, and financial institutions, and represent the company at senior levels.
Mentorship: Coach and mentor direct reports, ensuring their development and conducting annual appraisals.
Assisting the CEO on the M&A disposal and potential refinancing when required.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching and mentoring teams.
Strong stakeholder management and the ability to build trust internally and externally.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process automation.
Strategic outlook and experience contributing at a strategic level.
Previous experience as a statutory director and in M&A, business integration.
Background in capital-intensive organizations.
Experience in managing global finance functions.
Used to working in a fast-paced environment
Experience of asset backed leasing desirable
Familiarity with Financial Force and Quickbooks

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Flexible working requirements including availability for out of hours calls with the Global team
