Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Salary:

£80,000 - £95,000 per annum

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team.

Job Description:

The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the company, ensuring robust financial management and driving sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive international experience and a strong background in finance within a group of companies, particularly from the lending sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to manage complex financial operations and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
Lead long-term financial planning and risk management.

Financial Management:
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and compliance with international financial regulations and standards.
Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.

International Finance:
Manage and optimise financial operations across multiple international jurisdictions.
Navigate and ensure compliance with varying international financial regulations and tax laws.
Oversee the consolidation of financial statements from different entities within the group.

Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Develop talent within the finance team to support the company’s growth and succession planning.

Investment and Lending Operations:
Oversee the group’s lending operations, ensuring robust credit risk management and compliance.
Develop and manage investment strategies to enhance the company’s financial performance.
Evaluate and execute mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic financial initiatives.

Stakeholder Management:
Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with department heads to drive financial efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation.
Qualifications and Experience:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior financial management roles, with a significant portion spent in an international context.
Proven experience in managing the financial operations of a group of companies.
Extensive experience in the lending sector, with a deep understanding of credit risk management and lending regulations.
Skills:
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial software and systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
